Todays Match Summary Two matches this month and something different. The weather was almost perfect, lightish wind with hot sunshine all day :) Short Range Match A great 5x practice match testing stamina and patience at 300, 200 and as well as a testing practice at 100yds. Diggle is great for shooting, lovely scenery, fantastic on a sunny day and often with testing winds. This short range match had all of these elements which made for a great levelling match. Wind at 300 was blowy, up, down, who knows, but it caught a few people out dropping the scores. The match director threw in a sitting practice at 200 on Figure 14 window targets, now thats a challenge as that target has a tight 4 inch high score zone, that followed by a prone snap practice of 10x 3 second exposures on the same target. Not easy to get all ten in the middle with wind!  Scoring: 5x centre big ring, 4x anywhere on face, neck, helmet, 3x anywhere in the camo area. All ten anywhere in the head area is good shooting! Urban Match This is everyones favourite match, run on A range, it features a 6 minute match of four practices, a quick fire match with lots of movement and positional changes. In summary. Start at 100yds, fire off 2rnds per 6 second exposure, standing off a post. Mag change, targets come back up and run to 75, adopt kneeling supported and fire off ten rounds, 5 per 20 second exposure! Mag change, then run to 50yds, adopt the standing alert position, targets come up, fire one round standing, then one kneeling, targets away, do that five times. Mag change, run to 25, adopt standing position and fire 10 rounds over 3 exposures of 6 seconds in any order!
